Skin Peels are resurfacing treatments that are designed to exfoliate your skin either on the surface or at a deeper level. 

They increase what is know as epithelial cell turnover , basically shedding the dead bits so that the skin is encouraged to refresh itself.

They make use of different types of acids or enzymes to encourage and reveal fresher and clearer new skin, exfoliating away layers of the skin to allow space for the new Collagen rich skin to appear.

Milder peels such as The Exuviance facial that we perform here at The Retreat will ‘superficially exfoliate’ with no downtime or peeling effects. 

Alternatively a range of stronger Neostrata peels can be used which have a deeper effect and may result in some degree of flakiness and shedding of skin cells over a period of days.
