Genuine Dermaroller Therapy provides advanced micro-medical skin-needling, a procedure that stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely, creating smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.
Dermaroller offers amazing results without the inconvenient ‘down time’, and has an excellent safety profile when used by a trained medical aesthetic practitioner.
The Genuine Dermaroller is a natural skin regeneration and scar repair therapy which can significantly improve the appearance of:
- Acne Scars
- Aged and sun damaged skin
- Facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles
- Stretch Marks
How it Works
The Genuine Dermaroller medical device is used to produce thousand of micro-medical needle-columns in the skin. Each column penetrates into the dermis of the skin and the column then closes rapidly enabling the skin to recover quickly: often in the same day. To make the procedure more comfortable a topical aesthetic is applied prior to the procedure to numb the skin. The whole treatment takes around 50 mins.
Following Genuine Dermaroller Therapy your body will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to six weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long-lasting enhancement.
The treatment can be combined with a range of topical preparations and oral health supplements to intensify the result.
We normally recommend that your Genuine Dermaroller Therapy consists of a series of three Genuine Dermaroller procedures with approximately six weeks between them.
In the treatment of acne scars and other types of scarring it may be necessary to extend your Genuine Dermaroller Therapy, carrying out up to five procedures.
There are a number of “other” dermaroller devices on the market some of which are for home use and some of which are used by beauty therapists. Whilst these devices are not harmful and may create an immediate plumping due to trauma, they will not penetrate the skin as deeply and thus can fall short of the crucial dermal/elastin junction which is necessary for collagen formation.
